Thursday 17 July - KIDS POTTERY WHEEL Workshop - for ages 7 to 14 years - 10am to 12noon
Bring your 7 - 14 year olds along to our special KIDS POTTERY WHEEL workshop!
In this fun, messy and delightfully creative workshop we will show your child the basics of using the POTTERY WHEEL and then assist them to create from their imagination, or alternatively we have lots of ideas on hand to inspire!
Our tutors love introducing the joy of working with clay to young people so once you settle your child into the studio you are welcome pop out and enjoy some time to yourself for the duration of the workshop, or stay nearby, as occasionally some kids will decide to finish up early.
Please note, we do not have an area for spectators during workshops.
Included in the workshop:
- Unlimited clay!
- Glazing and firing of 2-3 pieces per child
As we are located in a shared warehouse with a variety of friends including a Tattoo Studio we ask that you please ensure your children are aware they must behave in a safe and social manner at all times.
Working with clay can get messy at the best of times so we recommend your child attends the workshop in comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty, including closed toe shoes.
Long hair should be tied back, and loose ties or ribbons ect should be avoided to prevent anything getting caught.
We encourage children bring a water bottle, clearly labelled with their name, however it is best not to eat during class so recommend they have a meal or snack before starting their 2 hour workshop.
Kids wheel workshops are intentionally kept small to ensure all participants gets plenty of time with the tutors.
Please note: Whilst we take every care with your little angels in our workshops, occasionally accidents happen. Prickly Pear Studios cannot be held liable for any injuries ect sustained as a result of attending our workshops.

Please note:
All our classes have a minimum number of participants.
If that number is not reached we may cancel the class and you will be notified of any changes via the email address supplied when booking.
In this instance you will be given a credit to book an alternate workshop with Prickly Pear Studios.
No refunds, credits or replacements classes will be issued in the case of non attendance.
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
Although the greatest of care is taken with your ceramic works of art, due to the nature of clay we cannot guarantee every piece will survive the firing process.
In the unfortunate event your piece does not survive we are not able to issue a refund or credit.
