Saturday 8 February - 6pm to 9pm - Handbuilding with Cathy
Join us in our relaxed and welcoming studio where you can feel free to let your ideas run wild to create your very own functional pieces of art.
In this approximately 3 hour class you will be expertly guided by Cathy through several different hand building methods to create your own Ceramic Vessels, such as Vases, Mugs, Bowls … feel free to go wild!
Everyone will be able to create something amazing in this workshop, with no previous experience required.
Your workshop includes:
- 3 hours expert tuition in a variety of handbuilding methods,
- All the clay and tools you will need to create your Ceramic Vessels,
- Your choice of glaze colours from our selection of beautiful studio glazes,
- Light refreshments.
Whilst Cathy will offer inspiration and guidance in regards to designs etc, we always encourage you to bring along your own creative inspirations to make your piece unique.
Feel free to bring along inspo pics!
We estimate that with the time allowed for in this workshop you would be able to create 2 small/medium sized pieces, however should choose to make more items it is just a small fee of $15 per extra piece to cover the 2 firings and the glazing each piece requires to bring it to completion.
At the end of the workshop you will leave your creations with us.
They will then be lovingly glazed by our wonderful studio staff in your choice of our luxurious studio glazes, and fired to provide you with a permanent piece of art.
Your finished pieces are normally ready to collection approximately 4 weeks after your class.
Please wear closed toe shoes.
This workshop is designed for ages 18 years and above.
For ages 15 to 17 years they must be accompanied by a fully paying adult.

All our classes have a minimum number of participants.
If that number is not reached we may cancel the class and you will be notified of any changes via the email address supplied when booking.
In this instance you will be given a credit to book an alternate workshop with Prickly Pear Studios.
No refunds, credits or replacements classes will be issued in the case of non attendance.
If you are unable to attend a workshop, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to another person.
Although the greatest of care is taken with your ceramic works of art, due to the nature of clay we cannot guarantee every piece will survive the firing process.
In the unfortunate event your piece does not survive we are not able to issue a refund or credit.
